Torrijas with Cinnamon

Ingredients (make 4 servings)


  • 750 ml Milk

  • 150 gm Sugar

  • 4 slices Brioche 

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

  • Dash Cinnamon Powder

In a sauce pan, add milk, sugar and a stick of cinnamon and bring to a simmer, then immediately set it aside to cool. Next, soak the brioches for several minutes in the mixture once it gets to a room tempature. Whisk the eggs and dip the soaked brioches in the batter, then deep fry them until they are golden brown. Remove from oil, pad dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon powder before serving!
